The announcement text: Purpose

To provide and develop an optimum homecare service, personally and through the team, within a defined geographical area and according to Company standards.

Duties

1. Providing the highest standards of care at all times and operating within budgetary constraints.

2. Receiving requests for new or additional work and quoting for this.

3. Progressing Individual Service Orders.

4. Monitoring spare capacity within the area and advising Social Services
Departments on a daily basis.

5. Conducting risk assessments, producing care plans and assisting with the recruitment activity.

6. Supervising and supporting all carers, through the Assistant Team Manager in particular.

7. Ensuring the production, timely distribution and understanding of rotas.

8. Motivating and developing all care staff and in particular :
- conducting personal development and performance reviews with carers,
including end of probation reviews.
- monitoring sickness and return to work.
- counselling care staff in appropriate situations.
- keeping all carer files updated.

9. Liasing with Social Workers as necessary and ensuring that client files are kept up-to-date at all times.

10. Maintaining all carer files, entering all information including timesheets onto computer

11. Producing criteria for Team Manager’s weekly meeting and producing weekly manager’s report.

12. Conducting service user reviews on an ongoing basis.

13. Undertaking any other duties that might reasonably be required.

14. Participate in the on call and out of hours service, covering calls as and when necessary.

15. To undertake duties on weekends (frequency dependant upon office staffing) as per the rota and to respond appropriately to any calls received.

16. To carry out care visits to service users where necessary.

17. Taking enquiries from new and potential customers and keeping records of such enquiries and the outcome.

18. General office administrative tasks and the maintenance and updating of office systems.

19. To provide cover during holidays and sickness or any other absence of the Branch Manager.

20. To participate in the recruitment and induction of new carer’s.

21. To respect and protect all confidential and commercially sensitive information.

22. To attend training courses as required
